Stourhead garden has a reputation as one of the world’s great man-made landscape

Stourhead Manor is a beautiful heavenly spot in the county Wiltshire that belonged to the Barons of Stourton for 500 years till 1714. In the 18th century one of the owners Henry Hoare redesigned the mansion and landscaped the gardens in a classical design. In 1946 Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, the last Hoare family member gave Stourhead house and gardens to the National Trust.
